On March 3, 2016, Eater published “P.F. Chang’s Is Being Sued for Sexual Harassment Again,” reporting on sexual harassment claims brought by five women who worked at P.F. Chang’s restaurants in California.

The P.F. Chang’s sexual harassment lawsuit coverage described claims involving employees from restaurants in Anaheim, Beverly Hills, Chino Hills, and Riverside.

Claims by Five P.F. Chang’s Employees

According to Eater, four women were pursuing their claims through arbitration because of provisions contained in their employment agreements.

A fifth employee, who was 16 years old when she began working at P.F. Chang’s, challenged whether the arbitration provision could be enforced against her. Eater reported that a judge agreed she had not been old enough to provide legal consent and that the matter was proceeding in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The complaints described allegations of sexually inappropriate comments, unwanted touching, and other offensive workplace conduct.

Hogue + Belong Represents the Employees

Eater reported that the women were represented by Hogue + Belong. The article discussed comments from Tyler J. Belong, who represented the four employees pursuing arbitration as well as the employee whose case proceeded in court.

P.F. Chang’s told Eater that it could not comment on pending litigation and stated that the company was committed to maintaining a workplace free from unlawful harassment and discrimination.
