Facts and Allegations:

Plaintiffs, three former tenants, filed a class action on behalf of themselves and approximately 8,980 former tenants against Investment Concepts, Inc. (“ICI”), an owner and operator of approximately 41 apartment complexes in Southern California for unsubstantiated deductions of security deposits and for charging excessive late fees. Additionally, Plaintiffs filed a claim for against ICI for unfair business practices.

After engaging in extensive discovery, Hogue & Belong was able to uncover potential evidence of fraud – i.e., evidence of intentional manipulation of documents used to substantiate the deductions of security deposits.
